A smart wristband and software that warns epilepsy patients before they have a seizure was developed by the academics of Diyarbakır Dicle University.
Sağtek, operating within Diyarbakır Dicle University (DU) TEKNOKENT, produced smart bracelets using IOT technology in the project, which was initiated with the support of TUBITAK 3 years ago. DU Faculty of Medicine Lecturer Assoc. Dr. Eşref Mind stated that epilepsy is one of the diseases that cause the most victimization in the world, and that this disease can be experienced in any period from birth to death. In particular, families have children in this situation. Explaining that he is worried about sending them to school and being taken out, Mind said, “Epilepsy patients can have false seizures and drug doses increase with these false seizures. As the dose of the drug increases, the side effects also increase. if real If you find a system that will separate the seizure from the pseudo-seizure, you will reduce the medication.”
